The Xtra-app enables Belgian households to shop more efficiently at Colruyt Group. Designed to make your life easier and simpler, the Xtra-app bundles many services and benefits of more than 600 stores, online stores and filling stations. Also, it provides product information about your purchases and many handy features to facilitate your shopping trip, balance your spendings and plan your meals.  

The app is a huge success and has become a cornerstone of Colruyt's customer engagement. Launched in 2017, today the Xtra-app registered 4.2 million customers, and counting.

The Challenge

The app’s biggest strength also became its main challenge. With so many features users could feel overwhelmed. To deepen the engagement with its audience, the experience needed to become more personal and intuitive, helping users find what matters the most to them.
