As a student, I always sought out new and innovative challenges. So, when HOGENT introduced their new specialisation for marketers, named Marketing Technology, I was immediately intrigued. Despite not having a technical background, I had always been interested in technology and the prospect of being at the forefront of innovation inspired me. It was clear to me that this was the specialisation I wanted to pursue, but I still needed to find an internship that matched my interests.
That's when I first heard about MultiMinds at an international marketing week event organised by HOGENT. Nicolas Lierman, who is Head of Innovation as a Marketing Technologist, presented MultiMinds in a very inspiring way that immediately caught my attention. Intrigued by the company and its services, I contacted MultiMinds to plan an interview for an internship application.
Two weeks later, I got to speak to the founders of MultiMinds and Nicolas. During the interview, I not only learned that I had secured an 11-week internship with the company, but also that Nicolas would be a guest lecturer of the Marketing Technology course at HOGENT. This was an incredible opportunity for me to learn more about the field from a seasoned expert.
At MultiMinds, I had the chance to learn a lot about marketing technology and all the possible uses of data. I firmly believe that a data-driven marketing approach is essential for any marketing team to succeed, and I was excited to learn how to implement this strategy. MultiMinds has a relaxed environment yet hardworking approach, and I was made to feel like part of the family. I felt comfortable sharing my thoughts and ideas with the team, knowing that they would be valued.
As a marketing technology enthusiast, I was thrilled to work on some of the most exciting projects at MultiMinds, such as self-sovereign identity (SSI) and content monetisation with web 3. I also got to work on smaller marketing tasks like writing blog posts and configuring marketing automation solutions. Although working in a new and rapidly evolving area like web 3 was challenging, the team at MultiMinds provided all the guidance and support I needed to succeed.
I also had the opportunity to work on some exciting client projects as well. For example, working with Mediahuis on their current project to transition to Google Analytics 4.
One of the highlights of my internship was being able to present my work at an exclusive event about the future of online identity organised by MultiMinds. This was my first time presenting, but with the support and feedback from everyone at MultiMinds, I was able to deliver a successful presentation.
Overall, I had an amazing experience working at MultiMinds. I learned so much and had the opportunity to work on exciting projects in a supportive environment. I am truly grateful for the opportunities that were presented to me during my time at MultiMinds.
